"The greatest compliment I have ever received about my songs is that they sound like me."

Denny Hanson (nomenclature/Atria/Widow Pills/HOWL/Hank Vegas) has been a constant in Macon's musical community for over 15 years despite spending a fair amount of time in other states - both geographical states and/or states of consciousness. What has always remained a constant is his work.

Self-releasing over 15 LPs and EPs since 2005, Hanson began recording "Dumpster Flowers" in January of this year - his first full-length as nomenclature since 2015. His sit-down at the Creek stage will include a majority of that material plus a celebration of the 10th anniversary of nomenclature's first eponymous LP including some very special guests from projects both past and present.

Inspired by the work and lives of David Lynch, Joni Mitchell, Brian Wilson, Basquiat, Stephen Malkmus and Todd Rundgren and fueled by black coffee, Hanson works in what he calls "Weirdo Pop" - sunny whimsical moods and playfully sardonic lyrics about human relationships, dreams, the line between passions and addictions and the fire within us all.

"You know, some bullshit."
